Shortbread «snail»

Very simple and fairly rapid cookies. A Title I met different, «snail», «Serpentine», «Duet», «two-tone» … But in my «book» of recipes from my school is called «snail». So marked.

Ingredients:

200g butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
400-450 g of flour
baking powder or baking soda, slaked with vinegar
vanillin
a pinch of salt
3 tbsp cocoa

 

Preparation:

Egg whisk with sugar. Add the vanilla and salt. Whipping is necessary to completely dissolve the sugar.

Margarine grind the flour and baking powder.

Mix.

Crushes the dough into a ball and divide it into 2 parts

One part of the right to remove the refrigerator — it will be white. The second intervenes cocoa. And also send in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

Chilled dough from the freezer and pull out on the floured table roll out the layer thickness of 5 mm.

Separately, roll out the second layer. Overlay layers on each other and turn to roll. I advise you to roll down the length that cookies were bigger and their size was smaller. Rolls have to roll up as tightly as possible. You can roll at this stage again put in the refrigerator for cooling.

Then cut into cookies. The thickness should be 5-7mm. Sheet need to lay a paper for baking greased. So our cookies easily be removed from the pan.
