Mandarin cake without flour


— 8 mandarins
— 1 cup of sugar
— 1 cup water
— 4 eggs
— 1/2 cup sugar
— 1 cup semolina


Cut 4 slices of mandarin.
From cup sugar and water syrup cook. In the syrup, place slices of mandarin oranges and cook well for 5 minutes.

Now take another 3 mandarin and remove them with zest. Then clean the mandarins and make of them mashed. The last mandarin squeeze the juice. This juice, add the syrup after cooking mandarins.

Boil the juice with syrup to cook the mixture thickens slightly and evaporated.

Beat 4 egg yolks with 1/2 cup sugar, add to the mix the zest, tangerine sauce and semolina. Good mix well.

Separately, whip the egg whites and gently pour them into mandarin dough.
Try to mix the dough so that the whipped egg whites are not dropped, as only with their help, the pie will be able to climb.

In a baking dish lay slices of tangerines, top fill them with batter. Bake the cake in the oven for 35-40 minutes at a temperature of 180C. If the cake starts to be burnt, then cover it with foil.

When the cake is ready, pour it mandarin syrup and so put in the off hot oven to cool down and soak.
