Add the tomatoes, put in 5 minutes. Pour 1.5 liters of water, boil, then reduce the heat, add salt and pepper, cover and cook for 15 minutes.
Potatoes cut into small cubes, add to the sauce and simmer until tender. Add finely chopped herbs, bay leaf, cover, remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes. Separately, boil in salted water for the required amount of pasta, drain the water, wash with cold water (to the spaghetti from sticking if you’re not prepared at once, you need to wash them after sprinkle with butter), expanded in a la carte dishes and pour the sauce.
