Gingerbread «Crescent»

Ingredients:

  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 3 tablespoon warm water
  • Pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • 200 g almonds or hazelnuts
  • 100 g sugar
  • 30 g melted butter
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for decoration

Preparation:

1. For a pastry mix in food processor flour, salt, water and melt butter.

2. Mix well, gather into a ball and leave it at room temperature.

3. Grind nuts in a food processor together with sugar, add cinnamon, liqueur and melted butter and mix well.

4. With wet hands shape into small sausages, scooping it out with a teaspoon.

5. Divide pastry into the same number of pieces and very thinly roll it out.

6. Put filling in each piece of pastry, roll and shape like a half of moon.

7. Lay gingerbreads on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes at 150°C.

8. The finished gingerbreads should remain light. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
